You’d think that the media have something important, to report
Instead of hocking us, about the pistachio ice cream, that Bebe bought

Israeli politics, is beyond our understanding
To qualify for office, is, shall we say, less than demanding
Commit a crime which elsewhere is considered sinister
Here, it goes on your resume, and qualifies you as a Cabinet Minister

There’s canasta and mahjong, and playing pinochle too
Early bird specials, discounted movies -- there’s actually lots for you to do

With so much to do -- Shimon Peres -- just leave us alone!

With over a billion views of a UTube called Gengam Style, made by a guy named Psy
It’s truly amazing to learn, what the world is fascinated by
But the truth is, that it’s not so impressive -- what he has done

As a politician Ehud Olmert, is truly one of a kind
When he considered running again, we thought he must be out of his mind

This year has seen, some ups and some downs

As usual, it’s only Hashem, that we can rely on
